Guilsborough Academy is looking to appoint a qualified Teacher of MFL, specialising in German, to join its team of specialists. The successful candidate will be creative, imaginative and an excellent team player with a proven track record of excellence in the classroom.

At Guilsborough we are completely committed to delivering a high quality, robust and well sequenced curriculum through outstanding lessons. To support this, we have committed to giving every member of staff an additional hour per fortnight of curriculum development time from September 2022.

Our GCSE results are amongst the best in the county and the high achievement of our students in something we are proud of. We offer a broad and well-balanced curriculum which gives students choices in their learning and helps them prepare for the next stage in their lives. Our Sixth Form team are highly experienced and are able to support students as they make their applications for University places or for higher apprenticeships and other pathways.

We believe in nurturing individual strengths within our students and encourage them to explore a wide variety of interests within and beyond the school curriculum. Our aim is to develop thoughtful, kind and considerate adults, who will not only contribute to the school but also to the wider community. Students' personal development and happiness are very important to us and our extensive programme of extra-curricular activities, including excellent Music, Drama and Sports provision, supports this process. We expect high standards of behaviour and believe that strong relationships between staff and students support the standards we expect. Considerate and responsible attitudes and behaviour are fostered through a strong personal and social education programme.
