Job overview
We wish to appoint a teacher of Physical Education to teach across the 11-18 age range with the capacity to deliver the curriculum to the highest standard. The PE department at Lawnswood School offers a range of extra-curricular sports activities to students through lunch-time and after school clubs and we are looking for a candidate who is willing to support the development of our competitive sport. Experience of delivering Health and Social Care at KS4 or KS5 is also advantageous.
We are looking for someone who wants to develop their career in a forward thinking and highly supportive environment and who can foster effective and harmonious relationships with members of staff. The successful applicant will have high expectations of all students, be a team player and be willing to contribute to whole school priorities. About Lawnswood School
Lawnswood School is a mixed, non-denominational community secondary school and sixth form for pupils aed 11-18. It is located in West Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The school, founded in its current form in 1972, has capacity for up to about 1,500 pupils. Its predecessor schools were the Leeds Modern School, a boys' grammar school, and Lawnswood High School for Girls.
