Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a highly talented and innovative, qualified teacher of Health and Social Care/Childcare to join our friendly and supportive team. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire excellent learning. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate successful teaching of GCSE and A-Level or equivalent. We currently deliver Pearson BTEC Level 2 and OCR Cambridge Technical Level 3. 

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced teacher to develop their passion for learning and create a positive and inspiring learning environment for our students. You will need to deliver and plan your own creative and challenging lessons. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to an exciting curriculum, which helps to encourage our students to reach their full potential. Experience of moderating candidate work is also desirable. 

As a school we have a fabulous CPD offer, to support colleagues at whatever point in their career. You will be encouraged to develop your teaching practice and have opportunities for career progression.

North Birmingham Academy is a co-educational academy school based in Birmingham for students aged 11-19.

The school underwent major redevelopment in 2013 and is built over 10,500m2 set in over 16 acres of landscaped grounds. Its £23.6m purpose built facility hosts a selection of services which benefit its students.
