Haberdashers’ Aske’s Crayford Academy is 30 minutes from London Bridge by train and the school’s proximity to the capital is a strong factor in enabling teachers to enhance the cultural experience for our pupils through enrichment activities.
We are looking to appoint a highly competent History teacher with strong subject knowledge to support the continuing development of the History curriculum and to join a dynamic and forward thinking department.
You will be part of the History team teaching a very popular subject at Crayford Academy. The post holder will be an innovative and forward looking individual who can inspire students and contribute fully to an active Humanities team. We will expect you to teach pupils across the full age and ability range present in the school in order to ensure the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and wellbeing, promoting interest in the subject across the full age range of the school with the opportunity to teach at KS5 in a number of areas.
We are seeking a strong, well qualified practitioner with a degree and a teaching qualification who is keen to develop their own practice to the highest level and take advantage of our excellent professional learning. The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities. You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm and passion for your subject.
