Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer.  

We require from 19th March 2018 – 29th June 2018, a well-qualified History teacher to teach the subject at all levels in our Senior School up to and including A Level. We use Edexcel for IGCSE and A Level and the successful candidate would need to be familiar with these syllabi and in particular, would be required to deliver the Tudor Unit of the A Level course.   

The position could be either full-time or part-time and if the latter, the teaching days would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to have passion for the subject, an inspiring approach to teaching and a commitment to the promotion of high standards. He/she will also be expected to become involved in the pastoral life of our School as well as contributing to our extra-curricular programme.

About Queen's Gate School

Queen's Gate School is an all-through independent day school for girls aged 4-18, housed in five Victorian buildings in South Kensington, London. There are around 500 pupils on roll, with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the city.

Queen's Gate School was founded in 1891 by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Wyatt in her parents' home. The present site was acquired in 2005. The school is an educational trust overseen by a board of governors.
