About us

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and rapidly improved school recently judged Good by Ofsted (May 2018). We are dedicated to providing a world-class education to the young people and families of Royal Greenwich, and hold a strong commitment to promoting excellence, justice and success for all our young people.

About the opportunity

History is part of the Humanities Faculty. In this curriculum area History is taught from Key Stage 3 up to A level and the history team are a driving force behind the delivery of Politics A level. 

For an outstanding candidate with the appropriate experience, there will be opportunities for promotion and the chance to take on wider roles with a TLR. We would also welcome applications from NQTs who would benefit from our long pedigree in training and supporting staff in the early part of their career. We have an excellent induction programme for NQTs and offer ongoing training through the early years of your career. We are also part of a partnership of schools which deliver the NPQ middle and senior leadership programmes through the institute of Education, and support our staff to undertake this training.
