On behalf of the staff and governors or Hayle School, welcome to our school. We thank your for your interest and hope that this information and the information on our website will help you understand the values and principles which drive and guide us to provide the best opportunities for our young people.

We are a good school (Ofsted 2015). We have been steadily improving over the last three years with the key headline 5A*-C including English and Maths rising from 49% in 2013, to 52% in 2014 and 59% in 2015 (English results are in the top 4% nationally for progress). Our favourable reputation is spreading and we started this year with just under 40 more new students than we expected, spread across all year groups. Our budget is healthy and Governors have worked hard to maintain a constant reserve to see us through these challenging times.

Teaching methods at Hayle School combine the best of modern technology with the traditional values of care and discipline.

We expect high standards of achievement, effort and behaviour from everyone. We believe that success, at whatever level, can only come through teamwork and working partnerships between dedicated staff.

Hayle School is a friendly, caring community school. Our motto is Be the Best You Can Be, we apply this to every member of our community and to everything we do.

In keeping with our motto we think and work in terms of individual students, their academic tuition, their interests and their future career needs. We believe that students must be active partners in their life at our school if we are to encourage positive and appropriate development of their abilities, their characters and their personalities. We are proud that once again we have no NEETs in 2015.

We look forward to meeting you and invite you to join our team.
