We are seeking to recruit and enthusiastic individual for the role of Teacher of History to join the successful and vibrant department at Chatham Grammar. This is a permanent appointment for a full-time role.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive subject knowledge and a passion for their subject matter and will also have the vision to see how History can transfer across the curriculum to influence learning throughout the academy. Predominantly teaching History the post holder will also teach our flagship Leadership programme as part of their timetable. Previous experience of teaching Leadership is not required as full support and guidance will be given, and our vision is that the postholder will use the opportunity to strengthen the curriculum links between the two subjects.
Chatham Grammar’s efficient and effective History department provide its students with the opportunity to study past events and issues, which enable them to understand and explain the world around them. Our students learn to become detectives, questioning the evidence they find and develop their own ideas and conclusions, which stretch well beyond their History lessons.
