We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective teacher of History with the ability to teach across the range of Humanities. Applicants should have a proven track record of success and be committed to further improving teaching and learning as well as student progress within the Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop in a supportive, well-resourced and exciting environment. Newly qualified teachers will be considered. Fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.

If you can inspire, encourage, achieve, enjoy working with young people and are determined to make a real difference to the children you teach, then you could be the kind of teacher we are looking for. You will need to work well in a team and be able to manage and contribute to planning and resourcing. 

Litherland High School is an 11-16 mixed school with over 600 students on roll and is part of The Heath Family Trust www.theheathfamily.org.uk

Litherland High School is a mixed, mainstream secondary state school in Litherland, near Liverpool. It caters for 11 to 16-year-old students and has approximately 690 enrolled.

Litherland High School was founded in 1948. The secondary school was rebuilt in 2001 and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for all curriculum areas. In March 2015, it converted to academy status.
