Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus.  The 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6.  The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

Carrick Academy is a co-educational school based in South Ayrshire for students aged 12-18. It is a non-denominational school.

The school that was later to become Carrick Academy was originally founded in 1845 and moved to its current site in 1926. Carrick Academy serves around 525 pupils, from the towns of Maybole, Dalrymple, Crosshill, Kirkmichael, Straiton, Minishant, Dunure, Dailly, Kirkoswald, Maidens, and surrounding farms. The school has a house system.

In terms of facilities, it has six fully equipped ICT labs in addition to a WiFi zone with 30 wireless laptops. The school’s PE Area has a games hall, a gym, a fitness suite, male and female changing areas, two all weather pitches and a rugby pitch.

Carrick Academy’s motto is “superbe gerimus” which is Latin for "we bear it proudly". The school is dedicated to the development of an ethos based on high quality relationships and mutual respect amongst all members of its community. It is also devoted to the development of a culture of ambition and achievement which encourages a ‘can do’ attitude amongst pupils. There is also a desire to give pupils, parents, and staff a genuine say in the running and development of the school. Above all, Carrick Academy places importance on offering a wide range of activities both inside and outside of the classroom which enable students to develop their talents and achieve their full potential.
