18.5 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year   


Based in our excellent Horticulture department at Broomfield Hall you will deliver the practical and theory aspects of the Horticulture curriculum across levels, 2 and 6.  You will be required to deliver high quality, inspirational teaching which encourages learners to reach their full potential, promoting progression on to higher level courses or preparing them for careers working with plants.  As part of the Horticulture team you will be required to participate in the resourcing and preparation of the course delivery and assessment, undertake course administration including setting and reviewing academic targets with learners.  


You will take an active part in course related trips and visits, recruitment of learners and supporting the work experience that learners undertake as part of their course as well as ensuring that all college and awarding body standards are met.  


The successful candidate will have proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners and be flexible, self-motivated and dedicated to student achievement and quality.  Up to date knowledge and experience of plant and soil science, crop producing, restoration, soil management, garden design and maintenance as well as business and marketing
