We are seeking a passionate and inspiring qualified Teacher of ICT and Computer Science to join our supportive and talented team.

You will be responsible for leading E-Safety, STEM, Digital Assessment (upon negotiation) for the whole academy. 

A TLR (2A-2B) is attached to this role of £2,796-£4,656 per year.

To be successful, you will be:

  • used to planning and consistently delivering high-quality lessons and have experience in delivering the curriculum in your chosen area; 
  • a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students;
  • a well-qualified specialist, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, with the ability to teach KS3 - KS4. 
  • a professional with excellent class management skills and high expectations of work and behaviour.

Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for newly qualified teachers (NQT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.   

We benefit from being part of a leading Multi-Academy Trust, the Cabot Learning Federation, the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The Federation currently sponsors academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Weston-Super-Mare; six secondary, eight primary, one all-through academy and a Studio School. The Federation also has an overarching CLF Post 16 and specialist inclusion centres. Together, we educate over 9000 children between the ages of 3 and 19. 

Bristol Metropolitan Academy is an oversubscribed, forward-thinking Academy based in Fishponds, Bristol, rated “Good” with Outstanding features by Ofsted in 2017. In Summer 2019, the Academy secured attainment that exceeded national average for the first time, with the best results the Academy has ever had. We anticipate a Progress 8 score of over +0.5 when confirmed in October 2019. The students are excited to learn and are real ambassadors for our diverse community. They benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment.
