Due to an increasing roll, the governing body of St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School is looking to expand its staffing. We are seeking an enthusiastic, well qualified teacher who is keen to play a proactive role in the development of our school by delivering a challenging curriculum and supporting our engaging extracurricular programme. We would welcome applications from experienced practitioners as well as NQTs.
Located in Chatham, Kent, the school is close to the beautiful South Downs and has excellent transport links to London. SJF is voluntary aided, within a selective unitary authority, and falls under the guidance of the Education Commission of the Archdiocese of Southwark. The school caters for all abilities and we are proud of our strong and vibrant Catholic ethos.
• French is taught in KS3 and KS4, with future opportunities for post 16 development.
• The school is planning to expand its languages provision by introducing a second language so the ability to teach another language to KS4 level is essential; Latin or Mandarin would be preferred, but we welcome applications from outstanding candidates who teach another language.
The post is offered with the option of on-site accommodation and visits or informal telephone calls to discuss the post are welcomed. Please contact the Head teacher’s PA, Mrs. Bovis, to arrange a suitable date and time.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Job descriptions and application forms can be downloaded from the school website: www.stjohnfisher.school. Application forms should be completed and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted directly to the Headteacher, Mrs D Lennon, at the address above.
