Values and vision

St Bede’s RC High School aims to uphold the values of the Roman Catholic church, build relationships with honesty, openness and mutual respect, and help students to feel safe, happy and confident. It strives to inspire students to embrace new ideas and seek ways to improve and learn. Teachers encourage pupils to work with dedication, energy and courage, to challenge those around them, to set a positive example and to show that together there are no limits to what can be achieved.

The school expects students to set high targets and work hard to find ways to achieve them, produce work of the highest standards and reach their potential in every task. Pupils are asked to accept nothing less than their best and to believe all things are possible.

Ofsted report

“Senior leaders and governors base their work on clear principles which commit the school to value all people and provide the best possible standard of education. The quality of teaching, which is already good, is improving. This is leading to higher levels of achievement over time. The disadvantaged students and other have similar levels of achievement. The curriculum provides excellent opportunities for the most able. Provision for students with disabilities or special educational needs is highly effective.”
