Due to the recent promotion of one of our Maths teachers we are delighted to be in a position to advertise for a teacher of Maths from September 2019.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an NQT or an experienced Maths teacher to work within a vibrant, experienced, successful, forward thinking and collaborative mathematics department that work extremely coherently together so that all students achieve good outcomes in maths across the school.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to also develop their ability to teach further mathematics at A Level. However this is not an essential element of the post.
Maths is a real strength of curriculum at Tewkesbury School and the successful candidate would benefit from a wealth of support from the leadership team within the mathematics department and also benefit from a successful learning culture in a department which out performs other schools nationally in relation to headline measures in key Stage 4.

Tewkesbury Academy is an exciting place to learn and work, with a student body of over 1,200 and upwards of 150 colleagues. Tewkesbury Academy’s last inspection was under the predecessor school in Autumn 2022 – published January 2023 – where the Academy was designated to ‘Requires Improvement’. A year later, and there has been rapid improvement in the key areas of SEND, early reading and behaviour. The staff and leadership teams are engaged in a relentless drive for the Academy to regain Good and then move beyond that to be the great school this community deserves.
