The Mathematics department is a forward thinking and dynamic department that is on a journey with a goal of becoming an outstanding department. There are six fully qualified teachers, including the Curriculum Leader and Assistant Curriculum Leader, who currently staff the department, plus an NQT. The staff have a full range of expertise and teach across the whole age and ability range. A teaching assistant and an administrative assistant also support within the department.
The Mathematics team look forward to working with a committed and talented colleague, who will be able to develop strong relationships with both colleagues and students, contributing to the consistent delivery of high quality teaching and learning. As such we are open to applications from trainees, NQTs and qualified teachers.

Moor End is a converter Academy that opened on 17th August 2011. We converted as an outstanding school. Prior to this we were a community school. Moor End is a National Support school. We play a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers and contribute towards the raising of standards across the school system through school to school support.
We are an award winning Academy and have continued to be recognised by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’. We are a truly inclusive school that welcomes students of all abilities. Our aim is to create a safe, stimulating, ambitious and caring environment to enable our students to thrive and achieve excellence; to make certain our future generation have the self-confidence to use their talents and skills to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Our vision is to maximise every child’s potential to ensure we can confidently say,” we gave every student his or her GCSE passport to success.” We passionately believe, as educators, we have the power and responsibility to inspire our students to be the best they can be to enable our learners to pursue their dreams and become the leaders of tomorrow.
Our motivation is to ensure that positive relationships are at the core of what we do every day, along with high quality teaching and pastoral care overseen by strong leadership. What we believe will follow is a strong ethos, and students with high expectations who demonstrate exceptional behaviour and want to be part of our school community.
We insist on high standards of behaviour, appearance, work ethic and respect for all to enable our staff to teach our students well so they learn to the best of their ability and leave the Academy with a first-class education.
