We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational individual with a passion for teaching mathematics. The ideal candidate will have successful teaching experience across both key stages.
Corpus Christi is a thriving 11-16 mixed Catholic High School with a very strong Catholic ethos and exceptionally high expectations. Over the last five years Corpus Christi has undergone a period of significant and sustained improvement. In May 2016, diocesan inspectors noted that ‘Corpus Christi is a good Catholic school that is improving rapidly’. The report recognised the huge improvements that we have a made as a school over the last few years and noted that ‘a strongly established sense of purpose ensures that teachers can teach and pupils can learn unhindered by distractions. Pupil behaviour is consistently exemplary’. In December 2017, Ofsted reported that ‘leaders and governors are unrelenting in their drive to improve the experiences for all pupils. They are determined to ensure that all pupils benefit from a good quality of education that prepares them well for the future.’ They also noted that ‘there is clear evidence that pupils are enjoying their learning and are ambitious to succeed.’
We are confident that Corpus Christi has the potential to be an outstanding school and you will see from the inspection reports published over the last three years that we have already made significant progress. Although we are a Catholic school and our faith is central to all that we do, we welcome applications from all colleagues who are committed to upholding the ethos of our school.
This is an exciting time to join Corpus Christi and a great opportunity to be part of a very supportive team.
