St Simon Stock Catholic School is part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP), which in 2017 ranked amongst the top 10 trusts nationally for the new Progress 8 measure of value-added at GCSE. St Simon Stock Catholic School is, in addition, the highest performing secondary school in the KCSP partnership at both GCSE and A Level.
The Mathematics department is a high achieving department in our school at both GCSE and A Level, including Further Mathematics. We are looking for a teacher who can make a significant contribution to this strong and successful department. Teaching to Further Mathematics would be an advantage. The position will provide good opportunities for those who want to enter into the profession as well as for those with some teaching experience.

St. Simon Stock Catholic School Founded in 1967 as a school of the Archdiocese of Southwark, the School recently celebrated 50 years of Catholic education serving Maidstone and the west of Kent. As a Catholic Comprehensive school of all abilities within a selective area, the School is known for its high standards of academic, vocational, sporting and pastoral achievements. CPD - involves a series of twilight sessions on areas identified by staff through appraisal; electives are created from courses attended by staff to feedback to colleagues; training for new areas e.g. LGBTQ,SEN, Pupil Premium, etc. A Senior Member of Staff has the encouragement of career progression as part of their role in addition to Performance Management and CPD in order to gain a holistic overview of training.
OFSTED - Section 5-Good; Section 48-Outstanding in all categories.
