We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher of Mathematics who is enthusiastic, inspirational and dynamic to join the Mathematics department at George Spencer Academy from September 2019. However, an earlier start date of 23 April 2019 after the Easter break could be available for suitable candidates.

The Mathematics department at George Spencer Academy are a vibrant, forward looking and supportive team who enjoy working together to ensure our students have the best possible experience in their Maths lessons. The department currently consists of eleven full time members of staff, including four TLR holders and 3 part time members of staff. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. George Spencer Academy achieved above national average results in all thresholds at Grade 4+ and Grade 5+ in Summer 2018 so you will be joining a team of strong team of professionals working towards the aim of delivering a high quality education which provides the best possible outcomes to each and every child regardless of background or ability.

All of our Maths teachers are keen to support students outside of lessons and we have an open door policy for all students seeking help. Teachers also offer various enrichment opportunities for students of all ages and abilities.
