The Best Maths Department in England wants a Maths Teacher
In 2017 our wonderful team was described as the best Maths department in England at the National Teaching Awards and now you have a chance to learn from the best in the country.
Casterton trusts teachers and treats them like professionals. This is why we came top of an Institute of Education national survey into staff well-being and why our staff turnover is so low. Classroom behaviour is outstanding, and we have lovely students, so teaching becomes a pleasure and not an exercise in ticking boxes or managing bureaucracy. Our ethos is ‘ability is not fixed’ which is why our progress scores are among the best in the East Midlands and Maths progress scores are consistently remarkable.
Casterton is a rural 11-16 school in Rutland, close to the beautiful town of Stamford and within commuting distance of Peterborough, Grantham, Nottingham and Leicester. NQTs get first class support from excellent teachers and the Maths team is truly outstanding. It is a school worth travelling to and Rutland itself is lovely if you’re looking to move slightly away from London, Birmingham or another big city but still remain in the heart of England.
Casterton isn’t part of a wider academy trust, so you are not forced into a corporate culture managed from afar, we are a proper local school and proud to serve our local community. This is a great opportunity for either an NQT or an experienced teacher looking for a change.
Only applications submitted on the application forms will be considered along with a letter of application being no more that 2 sides of A4.
Casterton College Rutland is committed to the protection and safety of its young people, and the need for the successful applicants to be DBS checked.
