We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and well-qualified teacher to our Mathematics Department. The Mathematics department is a large department who are highly trained, very supportive and welcoming.
We are over-subscribed and consistently achieve some of the highest results in Sandwell. In our most recent Ofsted of February 2020 the school was judged to be good with outstanding features. We are extremely proud of being one only thirteen secondary schools in the country to have been graded as outstanding for behaviour and attitudes under the new framework. We have an excellent location being less than 15 miles from the centre of Birmingham whilst having excellent national links via both the M5 and the M6.
As an enthusiastic and committed teacher, you would join a welcoming and very supportive mathematics department. The department has 12 full time members of staff and one part time teacher. The department is managed by the Director of Maths who is supported by Key Stage Managers for each key Stage, and the department also has a postholder who is responsible for whole school numeracy. The department also hosts ITT students and has experience in successfully mentoring both trainees and NQTs.
The Maths department is housed in a dedicated area of the school. Each classroom is well resourced and the department also has dedicated sets of iPads.
