We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join Burntwood School from September 2018.
The successful candidate will be:
· QTS qualified by the start date;
· able to teach Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4 (an ability to teach Key Stage 5 would be advantageous);
· able to teach some Computing at Key Stage 3;
· enthusiastic and well organised;
· be able to motivate and inspire students;
· committed to working in a team;
· proactive in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.

Burntwood is a highly successful academy for girls. We are an 11-19 comprehensive school with 1800 students, of whom 400 are in our mixed Sixth Form. Many of our students progress to our Sixth Form and the vast majority then on to university and higher education.
Burntwood was rated as “Good” by OFSTED at our last Inspection in May 2016 and we are very proud to be one of only two secondary schools in London (and one of only 16 secondary schools in the United Kingdom) to have been awarded the highest level of the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award: Level 2. We also have Artsmark Gold, Sportsmark and Healthy Schools status.
We work closely with Imperial College and other higher education providers to offer CPD for a variety of primary and secondary schools, and have been awarded the Professional Development Gold Quality Mark by the Institute of Education to reflect our commitment to developing staff professionally.
