Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time permanent basis from September 2021. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving young independent day school for boys aged 11-18 situated in the heart of London. Since opening in 2015 the School has quickly grown to around 400 boys and, following on from strong GCSE results, this summer they celebrated the success of their first A Level pupils who took up places at some of the most competitive universities in the UK, Europe and North America. 

Their vision is to provide an outstanding, progressive all-round education, supporting pupils to achieve academically and to develop as people, fully preparing them to meet the challenges of being a young man in the twenty-first century and ready to contribute to the communities in which they live.

Academic excellence is central to the school, complemented by their aim to nurture genuine enjoyment of learning and intellectual curiosity.  Their pupils take pride in their progress, actively participate in their learning in the classroom and gradually become independent learners. The school was highly successful in delivering remote learning and now has e-learning embedded in the curriculum.

The Mathematics Department will consist of six teachers in 2021. They have had three year groups sit IGCSE Mathematics and their combined results were 85% Level 7 or above and 29% Level 9. The top set each year also take and do well in AQA Level 2 Further Mathematics. Mathematics is a popular A Level choice for students and they currently have three classes of A Level Mathematics and one class of A Level Further Mathematics in each of Year 12 and Year 13. For both IGCSE and A Level the school use the Edexcel exam board. The mathematical ability of pupils is well above average and they are motivated problem-solvers. Small class sizes mean that teachers can give lots of individual attention in lessons. The school are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to join an exciting and expanding department.
