Required for September 2018 for this heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 18 Church of England Academy, an award-winning “Outstanding School” (SIAMS 2016). This year, 79% of Year 11 pupils gained at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C including English and mathematics, and 82% of A-level students gained grades A* - C.
An enthusiastic and committed teacher is sought to teach mathematics in the 11-16 school and computing/information technology at key stage 3.
The Mathematics Department is very successful. This year 81% of the year 11 cohort gained a good pass (9-4) and the department secured a positive Progress 8 figure. In October 2013 the department underwent an Ofsted Subject Survey and was judged to be Outstanding in all areas. A-level mathematics is the most oversubscribed subject in our outstanding sixth form.
The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 pupils, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
