Job overview
A teacher of mathematics is required to join our Outstanding Maths Department which consistently achieves excellent results. The department is one of the most high achieving in the Country and offers superb professional development for the successful candidate. The post would be suitable for an NQT or an experienced teacher.
Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2018. The Mathematics Department consistently performs above local and national expectations. The school has been developing Maths Mastery (Singapore maths) for the last two years and is part of the Arc partnership.
An £8.5million refurbishment was completed in the summer of 2014, resulting in an excellent learning environment offering state of the art facilities. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We benefit from a Beacon Nursery in the village.
