Job overview

The Directors of this successful, popular and up and coming Catholic Secondary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Maths of all Key Stages including A Level, to commence as soon as possible in 2019.  NQTs will be considered for this role.

Thomas Becket is part of a Multi Academy Trust along with three primary schools, St. Gregorys, St. Mary's and The Good Shepherd, all situated in Northampton. We are committee to continuous improvement and driving up standards of attainment and we are ambitious for our students and staff.  We have this year, 2018, secured our best ever results and a significant improvement in our progress score.

Our school has amazing facilities such as an AstroTurf pitch and large Horticulture area where the pupils can grow fruit and veg, which they can then use in their Food Technology lessons.

A copy of our Parent Newsletter is attached which we e-mail out weekly to our Parent/Carers. This will go some way to show what a week at Thomas Becket Catholic School looks like. We have school mini buses which enables our pupils to have a variety of after school sporting events in the surrounding areas. We dedicate CPD sessions with our students once a term in individual year groups, these can be anything from football, cooking, gardening and dodgeball. This is enjoyed immensely by both pupils and staff alike.

We offer excellent Sixth Form provision with an OFSTED rating of "Good" in March 2015.

We are a Catholic, learning, listening school where "it is not enough that children know they are loved, we show them".

Visits to the school are welcomed by contacting Jan Hayes, PA to the Headteacher at HayesJ@thomasbecket.org.uk. All our staff uphold the Core Values and Catholic ethos of the school.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS clearance in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy.

Come and visit us and see what makes us special.
