Incremental progression throughout the band is available

If appointed as Curriculum Leader - Starting salary £39,723 

with incremental progression to £41,091 per annum.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, enthusiastic and skilled teacher with a proven track record of academic success and achievement to teach Maths at Pendleton Sixth Form College. For an exceptional candidate, there will be the opportunity to be appointed as Curriculum Leader of Maths.

We are seeking an inspirational and outstanding practitioner with excellent subject knowledge who can demonstrate an ability to combine academic rigour with excellent student achievement. The successful candidate must be student-focused, possess a relevant subject degree and have an appropriate postgraduate qualification. The post is suitable for qualified teachers or NQTs and the successful candidate must be committed to providing pastoral support for all our students. The ability to teach both Maths and Further Maths at A-level would be beneficial, though not essential.

As a Curriculum Leader you will be an inspirational teacher who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students.  Using your enthusiasm and expertise you will work closely with the Head of Department in a rapidly expanding faculty; leading, developing and monitoring the curriculum to maximise the achievement of all students. You will support the team in focusing on increasing recruitment across the courses and working towards College and departmental targets to exceed National Benchmarks and achieve ALPS 3 in all our provisions. The prospective candidate should have a proven track record of teaching a variety of level 3 Maths courses, ideally including Further Maths at A-level.
