Governors are seeking to appoint for Easter 2018 a talented, committed and enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to join an excellent department that achieved outstanding results that were well above the national average in 2017. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the age and ability range up to and including A’ level. This post would suit either an ambitious NQT with a strong mathematical background who has the potential to become an exceptional practitioner, or an experienced teacher.
St Michael’s was judged outstanding by OFSTED in both 2011 and 2013. It is a strategic partner in the Catholic Teaching Alliance and has a strong commitment to the professional development of all staff. St Michael’s is a co-educational, Roman Catholic denominational secondary with sixth form in the London borough of Southwark. As of the most recent inspection there were 750 students on the school roll. The school is located close to the banks of the Thames, and the nearest Tube station is Bermondsey on the Jubilee line. In November 2012, the school became an academy managed by the St Michael’s Academy Trust. The sixth form first opened in 2011 and the first students completed their A-levels in 2013. The school is named for the archangel who defeated Satan.
