At Grace Academy Coventry, the Maths Department deliver a carefully considered knowledge-led curriculum. All pupils will experience lessons with a high level of challenge, supported by expert teaching staff who have the unfaltering belief that all pupils can attain and achieve. Pupils will develop into enthusiastic learners as they successfully acquire a wealth of knowledge that increases their understanding and appreciation of the world around them.
Our Academy has a new Principal and we are on a rapid journey of improvement towards outstanding. As a result of these changes we are looking for a talented, dynamic and inspirational Lead Practitioner of Maths. Ideally, the right candidate will also have the capacity to deliver the A-level curriculum.

The Maths Department is a close-knit and enthusiastic team at an exciting stage of development. In January the Academy has appointed a new Assistant Principal with the responsibility of raising standards, with experience of presiding over improved Maths results in previous roles. The Department is currently going through the process of embedding evidence based teaching and learning methods to improve the provisions for all pupils. The Department benefits from a number of strong and highly motivated teachers with a passion for delivering the curriculum.

There are many ICT suites with up to date facilities available for all teachers to use and every classroom is equipped with a smart board. Every teacher is issued with a laptop for their own use. They welcome staff who challenge and support them in their learning and are keen to progress and build positive futures for themselves.

You will be a skillful practitioner with deep knowledge in your subject area and the drive and ability to instill this knowledge in the pupils in your care. You will be a positive, forward-looking individual with the energy to enthuse our students and inspire them to achieve. You will actively contribute to the departmental vision of “Creating subject experts via a carefully sequenced knowledge-led curriculum that enables every child to achieve the best possible outcomes to support their future ambition”.
