TEACHER OF MFL

Required for September 2019

We are seeking to appoint a full–time Teacher of MFL to join our outstanding team. The successful candidate will be able to teach Spanish to A level and one more language, ideally German.  The faculty’s results are very robust and our girls are enthusiastic about learning, not only a foreign language but also an insight to different cultures. Many girls go on to study MFL related courses at university or courses that offer language learning as an extra option.

The person appointed will augment a team of specialists in a friendly and well-resourced faculty. This post would be ideally suited to a dynamic, passionate and highly qualified teacher who would be required to teach at least two languages from French, German and Spanish, with Spanish being to A-level. Applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers are very welcome.

Potential candidates must show commitment to self-improvement and commitment to the extracurricular life of the department and of the school.

Values and vision

The Royal Masonic School sets very high standards for the academic progress of its pupils. It offers an engaging and vibrant curriculum, with a number of modern teaching facilities to help its pupils reach their full potential.

Aside from academic success, the school also highly values emotional and social intelligence, with girls being encouraged to steer their own learning and become independent and self-motivated.

ISI report

“Sharply focused assessments by experienced staff ensure that the next steps are suitably challenging for every child. A careful balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities enables most children to reach or exceed their expected levels in the seven areas of learning. Daily opportunities for outdoor learning in all of these areas are limited in the classes without immediate access to outside facilities.”
