Teacher of Music

We are looking to recruit a Music Teacher to join our Creative Arts Department to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4. We would welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and NQT’s. This post is advertised specifically on a part time basis, four days per week.

We are seeking a driven, dedicated teacher who will engage, enthuse and challenge students to achieve their best. Our ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and possess the ability to develop innovative teaching strategies in order to inspire our students and help them to foster a love of Music.

Barnsley Academy is a rapidly improving school, the successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time in our development following our Progress 8 score which showed the Academy as the most improved in Barnsley. Our recent September 2018 Ofsted report also highlighted significant improvements from our previous inspection. The department is ambitious and we know that we have the skills, drive and support to provide an outstanding learning experience for our students. The department is currently progressing from strength to strength and we are confident that outcomes will improve again this year.
