This is an opportunity for a talented and experienced Teacher of Music to teach from Year 7 to A level and make an enthusiastic contribution to the activities of a flourishing Music Department.
The ability to teach Music to GCSE and A level is essential, as is the ability to direct choral and/or instrumental ensembles and lead regular, productive rehearsals. The willingness to make a generous contribution to the co-curricular activities of our active Music Department is also essential.
Music at Bromley High School
The joy of making music is very much at the heart of what we do. Our ‘All Steinway’ Music School is housed in purpose-built accommodation, with 9 practice rooms, 2 large teaching rooms, an octagonal Recital Room and an iMac Music Technology Room.
The School has a rich and varied wealth of ensembles and choirs, which allows all types of musicians to flourish. Our annual concert programme includes everything from the informal acoustic lunchtime series, through to top London venues such as Southwark Cathedral and Covent Garden’s Swiss Church. The department also travels extensively with two overseas music tours available each year.
