Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.

Music provision at the College is exceptional, comprising Edexcel A level Music, the Hampshire Specialist Music Course, BTECs in Digital Music and Pop Performance plus outstanding extra-curricular activity. We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Composition on a part time basis, to work with students in both year groups. You will deliver six sessions a week, with the possibility of additional duties if required. You will have experience in both composition and teaching, preferably to A level students. Able to inspire students of all abilities, you will also need excellent organisational skills to help ensure that work is delivered to the deadline. 

Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2021 actually commence with student enrolment at the end of August.  Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
