Job overview

Ruthin School is a co-educational, independent boarding school for around 300 pupils aged between 11 and 19. Situated near the beautiful Clwydian Range in Denbighsire, North Wales, Ruthin School is one of the oldest public schools in the United Kingdom. The school focuses on academic excellence and has a strong family and pastoral ethos. Ruthin School is currently ranked 7th in The Times 2019 A Level League Table and 5th out of all coeducational boarding schools – www.best-schools.co.uk.

Due to retirement, we seek a Music teacher with the requisite commitment to their pupils and passion for their subject.  Applications are invited to join an enthusiastic staff body to teach pupils throughout the school, from Key Stage 3 up to A-level Music.

The post carries a competitive salary. Experienced teachers and NQTs are most welcome to apply.   Please download an application pack from the School’s website www.ruthinschool.co.uk/jobs.

Applications should be sent to the Head by email head@ruthinschool.co.uk

Applicants should send a covering letter, detailing suitability for the post, along with a completed application form.

Closing date for applications is 10th May 2021

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be requested in the event of a successful application for employment.
