Job overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Teacher of Music (Senior School), who also has a passion for choral music, to join an excellent team of Music teachers in a well established department. We currently have a choral programme in Early Years, as well as a Junior School Choir of 140 students, an auditioned Junior School Honours’ Choir, and three main choirs in the Senior School: A female voice choir with 80 members, a male voice choir of 50 voices, and an auditioned Chamber Choir. Recently, the Senior School Chamber Choir has toured the UK, singing in Exeter Cathedral, Christchurch Oxford and other venues. DCB singers are also annually involved in the International Schools’ Choral Music Society festivals. 


The right person will be able to deliver the Key Stage 3, IGCSE and IB programmes in a creative and engaging manner. Approximately 15 students take IGCSE Music as one of their options in each of Years 10 and 11, and currently we have 12 students taking the IB Music Diploma across Years 12 and 13. Creative subjects are highly valued at Dulwich. The extra-curricular music programme is exceptional with a dual focus on both excellence and mass participation. You will be a highly effective and dynamic classroom teacher, with a genuine commitment to putting students first.

College Structure and Safeguarding 

The College comprises three schools, each with its own head teacher: Early Years, Junior School and Senior School. We offer EYFS in the Foundation Stage, an enhanced English National Curriculum in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, International GCSEs in KS4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in KS5.
