Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a part time Teacher of Music to work in a local SEND school for Secondary aged students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). This position will begin on a supply basis in September 2019 with the potential to lead to a permanent job for the right candidate. 

This is a specialist provision which has an excellent reputation. The behaviour of students can be challenging at times, so you will need to be resilient and have excellent behaviour management.The school are looking for someone who can adapt to teaching Secondary aged students with complex needs. Due to the nature of the students, previous experience of working with young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) would be beneficial.

To be considered for the position of Teacher (Music) you must:

· Have experience teaching Primary or Secondary aged students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) in either in a mainstream or in a SEND setting

. Be able to deliver Music to secondary aged students

· Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to inspire in what is a challenging environment

· Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
