Glyn Langston-Jones

Headteacher

The PE department consists of five full-time members of staff who show outstanding dedication to the students they teach. We have an extensive extra-curricular programme in which students are able to improve their skills, learn moral skills such as teamwork and, above all, enjoy sport. The staff within the department boast expertise in a range of sporting areas providing students with quality experiences and an opportunity to undertake new sports.

We participate in over 120 fixtures a year, locally and nationally and we are able to offer students opportunities to represent Nether Stowe in a range of sports. This results in positive relationships being made and students stepping out of their comfort zones. We are a very strong department who work together to ensure that we maximise learning time, give students unique sorting opportunities and we ensure that students enjoy PE lessons. Students are able to take PE all the way through to Year 13 with the opportunities of GCSE PE, Cambridge National Sport Studies and A Level PE with excellent levels of retention
