Teacher of PE

St Michael’s Catholic school is a very popular school in High Wycombe. We are in the unique position of being the only through-school in Buckinghamshire, providing excellent educational opportunities for children aged from 3 to 19. We have keen students who are excited to learn and a very supportive parent body. St Michael’s Catholic school requires a Teacher of PE to join a successful PE department working across phases and campuses. We seek a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher who is committed to supporting students’ education, as well as contributing to the enrichment of their education through extra-curricular activities.

The successful candidate must be passionate in encouraging both mass participation and striving for excellence in PE and school sport, as well as contribute to the continuing improvement in results in academic PE at KS4 and KS5. We would be particularly interested in speaking to candidates with an aptitude for sport science including anatomy and physiology and exercise physiology. St Michael’s PE department has a proud tradition of offering enrichment opportunities for students across the school so we would also be interested in candidates who are willing to contribute to the extra-curricular programme cross phase. This role requires a post holder who is dedicated in developing themselves as an education practitioner and fostering of a school based research culture.
