Due to the success of our school we are again oversubscribed and seeking to increase staffing numbers. The Governors of Bridlington School, ranked amongst the top 12% of schools in the country and one of the top performing schools in Yorkshire and The Humber for Progress 8, are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Sports Teacher to join our successful PE department from September 2018. The school is located within an easy commutable distance from Hull, York and Scarborough.

Due to the nature of the role we are recruiting a male PE Teacher to ensure the decency and privacy of vulnerable children as supervision is required in the changing room facilities.

A genuine occupational requirement for a male teacher exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.

You will:

  • demonstrate high standards of teaching and learning
  • teach PE to KS3 and GCSE
  • teach PE to KS5, Level 3 BTEC and possibly A-level
  • be a form tutor and support the academic and pastoral development of your tutor group.
