We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher, who can consistently teach good or outstanding lessons both inside and out of the classroom, ideally with a rugby specialism, to join our large and thriving PE department. Candidates will need to demonstrate an exceptional passion, commitment and energy in sport, fitness and healthy living and a willingness to contribute widely to the work of the department. 

You will be joining a vibrant, hardworking and experienced department that is committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. As well as core PE, we offer the Cambridge National in Sport Studies (level 1 and 2) at key stage 4 and the Cambridge Technical Sports and Physical Activity at key stage 5 (level 3). Aside from teaching across all key stages, the successful candidate will contribute to the sports programme at lunch times and after school. 

Extra-curricular sport and physical activity is highly regarded at The Poly and a commitment to supporting the extra curricular program is an essential part of this role. The Poly has an exceptional sporting pedigree and regularly experiences success at national, regional and county level. In recent years, we have been National Schools Handball Champions, competed at the Nationals Schools Athletics Finals Day, won numerous district basketball trophies and have a very high football prowess including being reigning London Schools Football Champions.

The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
