Charters School PE department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and highly committed teacher to join our strong, dynamic and well-resourced Faculty. You will be joining a friendly, fun loving department and we need you to have a love of teaching, a willingness to trial new ideas and be a team player who puts the good of the students at the heart of all that you do. You will be passionate about ensuring every student meets their potential. The ability to teach a second subject would be an advantage.
The PE Faculty at Charters offers both GCSE PE and technical qualifications in Sport in KS4, and AS and A2 PE and BTEC Sport at KS5. Students also have the opportunity to take part in the Young Apprentice programme, Sports Leaders UK awards and coaching qualifications.
Charters School is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive, Academy School with 1650 students on roll (including 400+ in the Sixth Form) located in Sunningdale. It has been graded as an “outstanding” school on two successive occasions and is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education
The School has excellent facilities including a Sports Hall, two Dance Studios, Health & Fitness Suite, Astroturf, Tennis and Netball Courts and extensive playing fields, plus dedicated PE/ICT Classrooms and plans for a new Leisure Centre on-site are being finalised.
The post would be appropriate for an NQT or a more experienced teacher and there is the possibility of a TLR for a suitably experienced candidate.
This role may be a temporary or permanent post dependant on candidate suitability.
