The Physical Education Faculty is seeking a dynamic and dedicated teacher who has a commitment to learning, a quest for excellence within their PE teaching and the ability to inspire students to enjoy and achieve their best in all aspects of Physical Education. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic teacher to make a significant contribution to the ongoing development of the Physical Education Department.

Applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers will be welcomed.

Physical Education is an extremely popular choice for students within the school, where in addition to National Curriculum PE students can gain exam qualifications in GCSE PE, Cambridge National Level 2, BTEC Sport Level 3, A Level PE, and HSLA. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the age and ability range including a number of these examination courses.

Experience in delivery of a wide range of activities will be an advantage and it is expected that the appointee will contribute to our extensive range of House and extra-curricular activities throughout the year as part of the Swindon Schools alliance.

The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College has 1560 students, 200 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Wroughton.  

The school was established in 1967 and was the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Wiltshire. We offer GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for students, while sixth form students have the option of studying a range of A-levels and further BTECs.
