Teacher of PE with Geography and Learning / Study Support

The School is looking for a Teacher of PE who is passionate about sport and wanting to build the department further. The successful candidate will contribute to our extensive extra curricular programme including inter-house competitions and fixtures against other schools. We are also looking for someone who is also keen to teach Geography KS3 and who can offer learning support to students in our 6th Form, notably those with additional barriers to learning.  The role could also include  offering PE at our affiliated special school, for the right candidate.  

While this is a really interesting mixture of roles in one post, the School is confident that it will be a great opportunity for a can-do teacher who wants to make a difference.   Applications are welcome from experienced teachers or strong NQTs.  About the PE department

The PE Department is a dynamic and creative department, with a positive commitment to young people’s sport and fitness, a strong academic record at GCSE and a great programme of extra-curricular activities at all key stages.  There is an opportunity here to take this offer to our 6th Formers and to students at our affiliated special school.  The PE Department works very collaboratively with other departments, including the Performing Arts, Humanities, SEN and Pastoral teams.

This role would require some teaching of KS3 Geography, in an excellent Geography team who are able to provide support.  We are also looking for someone who can support 6th Form students in the transition to A-Level, offering help with study skills, self-management and organisation, deadlines and independent learning.
