Wardle Academy is part of the Wardle Trust and is located in a semi-rural setting serving the Pennine communities of Wardle, Dearnley, Littleborough and Smithy Bridge, although a number of students also travel from Todmorden and Rochdale. The school is situated close to the M62, with quick and easy access to both Leeds and Manchester. We aim to provide an excellent all-round education within a safe environment of modern facilities and resources. Our dedicated team of high quality teaching and associate staff raise the attainment and aspirations of our young people above and beyond national attainment. 

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Physical Education Teacher to join our vibrant and committed department.  

The successful candidate will have high academic and professional standards and be committed to building on the strength of the subject throughout the Academy. They will be confident in planning and delivering lessons across all year groups and a range of activities.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to our thriving extra curricular sports programme.  

Wardle Academy take great pride in their sporting success across the borough and the county. We are very successful in all sports including football, netball, swimming, cross country, athletics, handball, rowing, rounders, trampolining and boccia. We are borough champions in both league and cup across several year groups at the previous mentioned sports. Some of our teams represent Rochdale at county level and many of our pupils represent Greater Manchester in their chosen sports.
