Barton Peveril is a vibrant and innovative sixth form college and this is an exciting opportunity to join our PE Department. We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational, motivated Teacher of PE/Sport who will make the subject exciting and stimulate students’ interest and enthusiasm in their studies. We pride ourselves on the quality of teaching and learning, and the student-centred focus we have as a team. We work together to support the progress and development of our breadth of talented sportsmen and women as well as our successful sports teams.
You will work within the hugely popular Sports department where you may be expected to teach across the following courses: Essential - A Level PE and C/BTEC/Sport Certificate/Diploma/Extended Diploma teaching experience. Desirable - Level 2 Fitness Instructing and 3 Personal training qualifications.
Your teaching will be of high quality and your results will reflect the high calibre of your teaching. You must have a commitment to active and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside the classroom. You will have the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment which produce the best from students. Applications from NQTs will be considered.
You will join a team of 9 staff and a number of specialist sport coaches working in a spacious, well-resourced new building.
We would advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2021 actually commence with student enrolment on 31 August 2021. Teaching staff are required to work this day but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
