TEACHER OF PHYSICS

For September 2019

We believe exceptional teachers transform lives, so we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic teacher of Physics with a real passion for their subject.    The school offers a wide ranging professional development programme, support for career progression and excellent resources in a state-of-the-art building, 

Our students are happy and make excellent progress. OFSTED graded the school outstanding in all areas and commented “Students have outstanding attitudes to learning and take a pride in their work”. The Science Department is supportive and successful and runs an extensive programme of specialist activities. Science A Levels are extremely popular in our Sixth Form and the ability to teach Physics to A Level is essential.

The post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.

Applicants should be keenly interested in how children learn, as well as committed to equal opportunities and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.

Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
