We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of A Level Physics and Engineering who will make the subjects exciting and high performing and will stimulate students’ interest and enthusiasm in their studies.
You will work within the hugely popular Science department in our new £6 million building - a spacious, well-resourced facility that has further enhanced the College’s reputation for Science and provided a fitting environment to deliver the outstanding teaching and learning enjoyed by our students and staff. Over 40% of our students who go to university elect to study STEM subjects and Science students at Barton Peveril regularly go on to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
You will join a department of 14 Science teachers and report to the Subject Leaders for Physics and Engineering who in turn report to the Director of Science. The department also employs four technicians, one of whom supports Physics.
Your teaching will be of the highest quality and the results will reflect the high calibre of your teaching. You must have a commitment to active and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside the classroom. You will have the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment which produces the best from the students.
We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers.
We would advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2020 actually commence with student enrolment on 24th August 2020. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment, please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
