TEACHER OF PHYSICS

Commencing Autumn Term 2018

An inspirational teacher of physics to GCSE and Pre-U is required for an outstanding

department. The successful candidate must have a strong academic background

and be able to stretch extremely bright students, as well as be keen to contribute

to the wider life of the school. The post would suit either an experienced teacher

or a candidate coming from a doctorate or research. An earlier start might be

available for the right candidate.


The School’s salary scale is substantially above the national scale and a subsidised

accommodation scheme is available to eligible staff.

St Paul’s School was founded in 1509 and currently occupies a large site in Barnes, south-west London. A selective independent school, it provides an education for boys aged 7-18 and has boarding facilities for a small number of its students.

Prospective entrants are usually expected to pass online and/or written examinations across a range of subjects, as well as undergoing an interview with a senior member of staff. In order to improve accessibility for students from poorer backgrounds, a wide range of bursaries and scholarships are available for boys who reach the required academic standard.
