St Joseph's College is a vibrant independent day and boarding school in Ipswich providing a broad and seamless education for over 600 boys and girls aged 3 - 18. We provide a wide range of stimulating and challenging opportunities that our pupils embrace in both the academic and extra-curricular life of the College.

The resultant all-round education develops our pupils into well-rounded individuals who challenge themselves to ‘being our best’ in every aspect of life at the school, and beyond. Our innovative teaching and subsequent success starts in the Prep School and runs all the way through the Senior School and Sixth Form.

Over the past few years, both Psychology and Sociology have been popular subjects in the Sixth Form, attracting a significant proportion of the Sixth Form students. A number of the students have been successful at gaining university places to study the subjects at degree level.

For September 2019, applications are invited for the position of Teacher of Psychology and Sociology to contribute to the delivery of the subject at AS and A Level.   This is as a permanent position. We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring teacher to continue our strong provision within the subject.

A boarding role and boarding accommodation may also be available for the right candidate.
