We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of religious education to join our dedicated and hardworking department. The successful candidate will be able to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a candidate who will motivate, challenge and inspire students to be the best that they can be; someone who is enthusiastic, resourceful, has high expectations and is committed to the distinctive ethos of our school. This is a great opportunity for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher to contribute to the continued success of the department. 

Our most recent Diocesan report was a true celebration; we were recognised as being an outstanding Catholic school in many areas and Our Lady’s is judged ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted. Both reports reflect the high standards of teaching and learning here at Our Lady’s and our steadfast commitment to developing each child both spiritually and academically. Our Lady’s Roman Catholic High School is a mainstream, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Higher Blackley, Manchester, and it has 850 students on its roll.

“Pupils have good attitudes to learning and work is carefully presented. Pupils’ spelling, punctuation and grammar in writing, and their use of standard English when speaking, have improved significantly since the last inspection. School leaders, including governors, have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development. They are determined to continue improving opportunities for pupils. Senior leaders have taken effective measures to improve levels of literacy. Teachers provide pupils with opportunities to develop their speaking skills and practise their use of standard English.”
